SEDIT Help-File
Use the cursor keys to scroll the text.
* <RETURN> Edit current menu entry
In editmode there is a helpline at the bottom of the
screen. Additional there are some "short-keys" to
jump quickly to an edit-field:
ALT+D Displaystring
ALT+A DataString
ALT+T Menutype
ALT+S Security-Level
ALT+K Key
ALT+C Color-Settings
ALT+F Flag-Settings
* ALT + H This helptext
* ALT + I Insert entry at cursorposition
* ALT + A Append entry to the end of the menu
* ALT + D Delete entry at cursorposition
* ALT + J Jump to DOS
* ALT + K Key-Menu / Editing,Deleting,Adding Keys
Here you can edit the keys which are supported
by SuperBBS (e.g. ^KV etc...)
* ALT + F Flag-Menu / Change the Flagdescriptions
SEDIT gives you the possibility to describe each
Flag preciosly. Here you can define the descriptions
* ALT + E Edit ASC/ANS file with external editors
Edit a ASCII or ANSI File. All Files in the
TextPath-statement in the SEDIT.CTL file
will be displayed.
* ALT + P Edit Prompt and Hilight-Colors
Edit the Prompt and the HighliteColors for
the actual menu. The HighliteColors are processed
if you put a text in the DIsplayString into two
"^". for example : [^D^] Download
* ALT + T Change the Prompt in all Menus
Let you change your prompt in all menus. This makes
your menus looking more professional.
* ALT + B Change Security and Flags in the whole menu
Set or delete certain flags and update security in all
menu entries.
* ALT + N Change Name of actual Menu
Give the actual menu a new name. just a "save as"
feature.
* ALT + M Edit the default menu entry
Everytime youn insert or append an entry to your menu
this default menuentry will be used.
* ALT + S Define and save a block in SEDIT homedirectory
Defines and saves a number of menuentries to disk.
quite usefull, if you want to put a header on top
of each menu.
* ALT + L Load a block and insert at cursorposition
Loads and inserts a previous saved block at
cursorposition.
* ALT + C Copy an entry to a new destination
Copies a single entry to a new position.
You can insert or replace the entry.
* ALT + U Compiles an ANSI-File in the SEDIT homedirectory to
a SEDIT (.BLK) File. Just try it out, you will see,
it's quite usefull.
* ALT + V Preview aktual menu
Let's you take a Preview of the actual menu. Auto-
displaying ANSI-Files and the INCLUDE1.MNU function
of SuperBBS are supported.
* ALT + G View a menu by textlines an print out specific parts
Was only used for debugging purposes.
* F2 Saves the Menu / Should be selfexplaining ;-)
* F5 Toggle the HelpText-Display of empty entries !
If you're in DisplayLines mode, and the EditText
function is disabled, SEDIT will show you some
helpfull notes about the current menu-entry.
The ehlp is only displayed, if the textstring
of the entry is empty, or contains only a ";" char!
* F7 Toggle EditText-Mode ON/OFF
In Editmode you can scroll around with the cursor and
edit the Displaystrings for the different entries.
With F7 you can toggle this mode (remind! ind EditText-
Mode there is no Color-Display !)
* F8 Linenumbers on/off
Toggles the WYSIWYG Mode and the Linenumbermode.
* F9 Toggle JumpEntry/JumpMenu mode
JumpEntryMode : Pressing a Key will jump to the
entry in which this key is defined
JumpMenuMode : Jumps to the Menu which is defined
by the key you pressed
In Linenumbermode you can see a ">" instead of a ":"
after the linenumber. This means, that this entry is
a Goto/Gosub Entry. Move the cursor on it and press
TAB will jump to the new menu.
* F10 Start menustructure simulation
Starts a Simulation of your menustructure. You can move
across your menus and look at your work.
In Simulation: F1 = Change simulation settings
